Announcing the launch of our Community Gardening Program!

About Queers in The Garden

“Queers in the Garden” is a community drop-in style event at the MUN Community Garden at Long Pond happening every second Thursday, 1pm-2:30pm starting Thursday, June 18th.

Join Quadrangle NL staff as they grow a garden that will feed our tummies and happiness. Please note, during "Queers in the Garden" hours at the Forest Road location won't be open for drop-ins.

Community Garden Dates:

  • June 18th

  • July 2nd, 16th (Pride Gardening Event) and 30th

  • August 13th and 27th

  • September 10th, and 24th (Garden Harvesting Event)

  • October 8th, and 22nd (Halloween Event)

PRIDE GARDENING EVENT

Join Quadrangle NL staff and community on July 16th, 1pm-2:30pm for a Pride Gardening Event! Help us do weeding and planting in our community garden as we celebrate Pride Month in St. John’s under the summer sunshine.

Reminder to dress for the weather as Quad will be there rain or shine.

GARDEN HARVESTING EVENT

It’s time for our first harvest at the community garden!

Join Quadrangle NL staff and community on September 24th, 1pm-2:30pm to see what was grown as a community during the “Garden Harvesting Event”. Come help with the harvest and enjoy taking home some veggies.

Reminder to dress for the weather as Quad will be there rain or shine.

HALLOWEEN AT THE GARDEN

It’s spoooooky season at the community garden with our “Halloween at the Garden” event.

Join Quadrangle NL staff and community on October 22nd, 1pm-2:30pm for the final harvest and close up for the season.
