Quadrangle NL 5th Annual Drag Event

Quadrangle NL’s 5th annual Drag Bingo will be happening Thursday, July 9th, at The Bella Vista on Torbay Road. We can’t wait to yell 069 and have lip syncs for your loot. We are so happy to host our community loved signature event during Pride season once again in support of the continuation of our provincial 2SLGBTQIA+ community centre.

Come in drag or come as you are, we just want to have a time with you! The evening will have local drag talent (names of those stars to be released in the months to come) along with some sweet prizes -- Each game of bingo will be followed by a featured local drag performance.

The event will have a licensed bar with affordable drinks (19+). Fully accessible and welcoming!

50/50 tickets and raffles will also be available for purchase during the event.

Drag Bingo tickets will be sold on online.

ADHD Peer Support

Are you an individual who believes you have ADHD and wants an assessment? Maybe you’re looking for support around the Disability Tax Credit? Or wanting to meet some queer peers?

On Friday March 20th, 1pm-2:30pm stop into Quadrangle NL at 16 Forest Road on the 3rd floor for support in completing an ADHD Assessment Form and/or Disability Tax Credit Application with Tore and Sally. Tore and Sally are part of the Quadrangle NL Community Advisory Board and will be supporting community members to understand and complete forms in our outreach space.

Facilitators bios,

Tore (they/them) is a non-binary, trans and Queer pal from St. John's, NL (Ktaqmkuk). They are a disabled AuDHDer who moves through the world rooted in Disability Justice and intersectional feminism. Tore is proud to be an active member in the community through various volunteer initiatives, where they are especially passionate about work in harm reduction, 2SLGBTQIA+ circles, and sharing any skills they can to help others! In their downtime Tore can be found snuggling their two cats with some cartoons or looking for cool rocks near the sea.

Sally Payne (she/her) is a doctoral student in clinical psychology and a lover of music, puppies, and spending time with friends. Since being diagnosed with ADHD part way through her doctoral studies, she has become passionate about helping increase access to assessment and treatment for those with ADHD or associated symptoms.

How about starting by learning to write a letter or reaching out as a collective to government! Join this partnered workshop between Neighbours United and Quadrangle NL on Wednesday February 25th, 1pm-2:30pm at Quadrangle NL (16 Forest Road, 3rd floor) in the outreach space.

You’ll learn:

-How to craft letters

-Understanding levels of government: Municipal vs Provincial vs Federal

-Constructing your message

-Tailoring your message to the recipient

-Sending your message: letters, emails, and phone calls

-How to make a plan to follow up

Rescheduled Holiday Chosen Family Dinner

We are excited to share that we have rescheduled our postponed Holiday Chosen Family Dinner (originally scheduled for December 8th, 2025) to Monday February 16th 6-8pm at the St. John’s Farmer’s Market. Thank you for your patience!

Celebrate our queer and trans community with a hot meal and performances from Spectrum Queer Choir and local drag performers at a welcoming, accessible location with free parking and gender neutral bathrooms.

All previously confirmed tickets are valid for the new date, you do not have to register again. If you had a ticket(s) for the previous date, please email patrick@thequadnl.com to confirm your attendance for the new date.

Unfortunately, because this is a rescheduled event that is at capacity, we have no new tickets available at this time.

Overview: Food is a powerful way to connect across cultures. Many participants have expressed interest in learning more about job searching, employment rights, Canadian workplace culture, and available supports. This gathering aims to create a relaxed and supportive space where BIPOC queer and trans folks can learn from one another and from community partners.

This gathering will use food as a way to bring people together, with participants invited to bring a dish to share.

First hour: Potluck and informal connection

Second hour: Guest speakers from partner organizations sharing employment-related programs and answering questions about the job market, job searching, and workplace culture

Final 30 minutes: Open social time
